During the Clone Wars many of the vehicles acted on their own and did not require a pilot.

NR-N99 Droid Enforcer
OG-9 Homing Spider Droid
IG-227 Hailfire Droid
Vulture Droid
Droid Tri Fighter

etc. Would it be possible to do this sort of thing in SWBF2? Have some of the vehicles act on their own without a pilot?
During "Amongst the Ruins" (Mygeeto Campaign) The turrets on the second objective attack you without an operator. I'm looking through the files for that mission right now.

Edit: Only flyers, walkers, and turrets work with "PilotType = self"
If it is attempted with Hover vehicles, it crashes automatically even thought it appears that they do in fact move on their own. I suppose I could just change the hover vehicles to walkers, but that's a temporary fix and not a very good one.

You can add pilottype = self

That makes a slot automatic, check some of the hoth automatic turrets from the campaign for more details, that is something handled in the sides generally, not the mission.lua.

Thanks to ARC_Troopa_Nate we are half way there. Look at this video. Near the end the two Droid Enforcers on the left move on their own. The one on the far right does not have any time to move before the game ultimately crashes. With no evidence of what went wrong in the error log I don't know how to fix this.

I've added this to the vehicle's odf under MapScale and WEAPONSECTION = 1
