I think we discussed this before. What if instead of the health and ammo dispenser, give the engineer a "Bacta Wave Emitter" or "Power Cell Recharge" powerup. I've looked at the assets and have been experimenting with this in game. I can never get the health to regain instantly. It's always within a certain time or not at all.

Spoiler:
Once I figure this out I'll disable the effect on owner (No more engineers healing themselves)
100-200 HP given to a maximum of 10 people each time this powerup is used
No animation will be used when this is activated
All effected droid players will be given a short electric effect attached to the hip
All effected organic player will be given a short bacta mist effect (Similar to bothan spy buff)

Again, sorry for yet another double post. No one here knew how to do this. Marth888 pointed this out. The sort time and high hp regain causes almost instant health regain. I've tried this in game and it is very effective.

Interesting idea.

I had given most units just one power up each (4/6 units had grenades and power ups) but this is definitley a good idea if somone wanted to make a medic class.

You also know you can have multiple buff effects at once?

I did not know that. Interesting. I wonder what else I can do with buffs or debuffs. Do you think its possible to give units increased accuracy for a short period of time? "Focus" would be perfect for that.

IDK about the short accuracy increase, I think that's all in the weapon ODF.

But in the current mod I'm working on the officers give out double buffs (damage+defense for Reps and Imps, Energy + Damage for Rebels, Health + Damage for CIS)
