The Republic is in need of massive military numbers to protect its investments around the galacxy. Unable to protect half of the republics home worlds, many find them selfs left to defend for them selfs till the Republic is able to assist them. Factions begin to form all over the galacxy in hopes of surviving this universal war. Not knowing who the real enemy is, many planets are confused and scared of invasion and colonization from any invading force. WAR!! is upon the galacxy.

ARTHAME

Once again, our beloved 501st will be landing on a new improved beach on Planet Rathia. As I scraped the 1st Designated Days beach stage which really had no name and few bugs. This new map is called Designated Days: Chapter 2: Day of Days. Thats right, it is being bump to chapter 2. While Designated Days Spearhead is being moved to Designated Days: Chapter 3: Spearhead.

Designated Days: Chapter 1: Operation Republic Ghost will be the name of the 1st chapter. The story of this chatper focuses on a reconnaissance division coming to check up on the planets status after so many failed pleads for help by the rathians. Upon arrival at Rathia, they get no hails from the planet. So they land on the planets surface where is it unpopulated. They discover a battle had been fought. The bodies of Rathians, CIS and a unknown faction lay around a war torn outskirts.

Heres where chapter 1 will take place. Rathia on a land apart from one of Rathia's main lands. Parolis is a small land that host 1 major city, few towns and factories. Most of the land it self is farm fields and open plains with few forrests.

200 years prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars, there was no global government on Rathia. Each island and local star system had its own. The Parolans had not one, but three civil wars before they took to the idea of any global government. The entire planet was politically unstable and had civil wars on each island and continent, due to the many varying views of all of the population. It took almost 130 years before all of the planet's inhabitants submitted to a planet wide government. Parolis was originally a city-state and was controlled by a dictator. Just approximately 20 years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, a Parolan senator was voted into office, being the first Parolan-Rathian (origin) President.

About 10 years after the President (name unknown as of right now) was voted into office, the Trade Federation stumbled upon the planet, in hoping to establish trade agreements. The President was reluctant at first, however he eventually did start trading with the Trade Federation. At first it all seemed too good to be true - he was right. He heard about the Blockade of Naboo from a Neimoidian who couldn't shut his trap. Rathia didn't have much of a military, especially the island of Parolis. Fearing he might be next, he cut off all trade and communication from the Trade Federation, not before buying an assortment of armaments and other supplies of course. His security "escorted" any and all members of the Trade Federation back to their ships and sent them off-world. They didn't put up a fight, but they were sorry that the business deal has been severed. 5 years ago, the President seized the moon of Arthame and sister planet of Tropikus, as well as establishing a shipyard in low orbit of the gas planet of Allanis. The entire system was controlled by the Rathians, much to the disapproval of the natives of Arthame and Tropikus, who were not as advanced as Rathia. The Rathian "Military" still wasn't much of a military, but more of a militia and small group of ex-guerrilla fighters as well as ex-partisans, who loved thinking that they were an unstoppable military force and that no military or fleets of alien origins would dare to conquer their system. All that changed recently when, again, a civil war erupted...this time system-wide and then the newly formed Confederacy of Independent Systems invaded the system, primarily Trade Federation ships, and a three-way war occurred. The President changed his title to Premier some 3 months ago. Some of the civilian population called out to the Republic to no avail, as the Republic was concentrated on high-priorities. All planets in the system lost faith in the Republic, they had no hope of surviving a three-way chaotic war both in space and on the ground. They had no true warships, no true military. After finally driving the CIS out, the Republic moved in, but most of the population already disliked the Republic for giving them the cold shoulder. The Republic is currently now entangled into this dangerous political conflict, not knowing who to truly fight.

I might make a map of my below story.

The Militia leader, while his army is being handed many defeats by the Republic, is still at large, Republic forces know they can make a serious dent in the militia if they assassinate the leader, they launch an attack on his beachfront villa, both sides have AI air support, and the Republic will have some boats/transports to get ashore quickly. Little does the Republic know, the finest of the Militia are defending the villa, this assault will not be easy...

Just an idea, btw, the Republic will fail, so the Militia leader will survive.

The assault will take place at night, so I will make a new legion, Ghost Division, led by Captain Apex, they will be all black and grey to blend in with their surroundings.

Excellent stuff guys. Feel free to come up with names off officers and capitalist that the Republic should hunt for for the maps. I feel that map 3 whichs is bobs, should have a hero for the militia.

In Rathian Military Systems Facility #1138, Foreman Erix Cragan oversees production of all of Rathian armor and artillery. The Rathian Military Systems MT-5 medium tank is the newest of medium tanks to be constructed at these facilities. Very few of them were encountered during the 31st Cavalry's assault on the cloning labs and Republic credit counterfeiting factories deep in the Keller Forest on Parolis Island. The main cannon inflicted several casualties. Many good men were lost to these new tanks. It's up to the 1st Rangers to hunt Foreman Cragan down. He's on the top 10 Republic's most wanted list on the Rathian Front.

It has been recently confirmed that Foreman Cragan was KIA in a raid conducted by the 1st Rangers. It was also discovered that Foreman Cragan was second in command of all Parolan Defense Forces. The Zormanan Militia (from Zormanis, the mainland) came to aid in defense of the capital of Giriz during the 31st's attack, so we know there's someone higher than the Foreman on the island. We need to find out who this is. We do have a list of known officers in the command structure, so all we need to do is confirm who it is. We need to see if it's Lieutenant Commander Janos Blanck or of it's Commander Tarth Durren. The cells in which they command have been halting our progress ever since the Battle of Giriz City, starting with the deploying of new 88mm cannons against our armor.

Commander Tarth Durren is a well known commander within the Rathian Military ranks. His deception maneuvers earlier in the Rathian Conflict on the desert moon of Arthame has earned him the nickname "Desert Serpent". His grenadier detachment, known as the "Blood Brigade", have shown no mercy when in battle, and have never taken prisoners. Premier Morker wanted him to stop the Republic landings at Point High Hym. The entire western Zormanis coast has been fortified with machineblaster bunkers, barbed wire, landmines, and landing craft obstacles, knowing full well that the Republic plan a massive invasion against the mainland. ARC Commander Phalanx and his 514th Pathfinders Regiment are going to have a bloody fight on their hands.

As the war with the Rathian Systems Alliance begins to heat up, a new unseen faction rises against the Republic. An alliance was formed with the Tropikan Empire of the Tropikus system close to the start of the war. While the Republic was aware of the Tropikan Empire, they hadn't foreseen them creating ties with their enemy, the Rathians. In the dead of night, a squad of Rathian commandos infiltrated the Republic Assault Ship Annihilator, which possessed the codes for the Kuat shipyards. They transmitted these codes to the Imperial fleet positioned just outside of sensor range. The time was now to strike. The Tropikan destroyer/carrier hybrids launched a massive fighter/bomber attack on the unsuspecting Republic forces, severely crippling several new-line battleships. These battleships are known as the Persecutor-class, and are much stronger than the Venator-class star destroyers. After the attack, the Republic gathered their dead and wounded, and then began the repair work on the ships that were salvageable. Many ships were destroyed, however a bulk of the smaller ships made it out intact and provided anti-aircraft support - namely the smaller patrol crafts, corvettes, and small frigates. It would take two months to repair the damaged battleships, which were the primary targets of the attack. Unfortunately for the Tropikan Empire, the Republic's carrier fleet has been re-stationed at Toydaria for training exercises.

The Tropikan Destroyer/Carrier, known as the Prevalence-class, was the main ship deployed by Imperial Forces. One such carrier, the TD/C-65 "Independence", was experienced from the war with the Allanis Peoples' Union one system over, over 10 years ago. It narrowly escaped destruction during the last battle of the war, when it lost enemy ships by flying directly into an asteroid field. Most Prevalance-class ships were destroyed by this specific (and dangerous) maneuver, but this commander knew the risks. Plotted a course that took the ship through three nebulas and the two most dense pockets of asteroids just to mask the trail. It took them the course of several days to make it out and hyperspace back to their homeworld of Tropikus. This same commander is now the Fleet Admiral of all the Imperial Navy.

Now teamed up with the Rathian Systems Alliance, creating the Rathian-Tropikan Pact, will be going up against the full might of the Grand Army of the Republic and the now Republic-backed Allanis Peoples' Union and the Rathian Resistance Movement (who disagree with the Militia's choices and the regime that was created by the Premier).

The Tropikan Empire is an imperialistic regime housed on the planet Tropikus in the Bulmari Cluster beyond the Outer Rim Territories. It's a forgotten planet, much like the Rathian system with its orbiting moon of Arthame, the Allanis gas planet, and surrounding systems. The populations of these systems are migrants from Coruscant and other core worlds in the Galaxy, collectively known as the "Children of the Core".

The soldiers of Tropikus are trained from birth, bound by a code of honor, and are extremely fanatical. They do NOT accept surrender in any form and go out of their way to die in battle via kamikaze attacks, charges, and bombs strapped to their chests. Most soldiers are armed with semi-automatic blaster rifles, light machine blasters, and sub-blasters. Secondaries include blaster pistols with small blaster packs, with officers utilizing plasma-swords akin to vibroblades from the Old Republic.

Tropikus is made of a series of tropical islands with a central large island on its equator. There is a ring of volcanoes in the western hemisphere known as the "Portal of Fire" in Tropikan tongue.

During battle, the soldiers of Tropikus often use battle cries during their charges against enemies, which has an intimidating effect, as evidenced by the 4-year war between the Tropikus Empire and the Allanis Peoples' Union during the Tropikan reclamation of the Yagi moon.

The Imperial Navy consists of simplistic looking ships, often cubic in nature, although extremely effective when it comes to extended battles in space, and in atmospheres of planets.

The Empire is controlled by a "God-Emperor". The Emperor in power as of this writing is named Katar Aguro. Emperor Aguro rose to power during the last Dynasty of the Sun, and earned his place by conquering his enemies and bringing much shame to those who tried to overthrow him.

The entire system was controlled by the Rathians, much to the disapproval of the natives of the desert moon of Arthame. The Rathian-Tropikan alliance initiated a lockdown in the system. The Rathian "Military" still wasn't much of a military, but more of a militia and small group of ex-guerrilla fighters, as well as ex-partisans, who loved thinking that they were an unstoppable military force and that no armies or fleets of alien origins would dare to conquer their system. All that changed recently when, again, a civil war erupted...this time system-wide and then the newly formed Confederacy of Independent Systems invaded the system, primarily Trade Federation ships, and a three-way war occurred. The President changed his title to Premier 3 weeks into the Clone Wars. Some of the civilian population called out to the Republic to no avail, as the Republic was concentrated on high-priorities. All planets in the system lost faith in the Republic, they had no hope of surviving a three-way chaotic war both in space and on the ground. They had no true warships, no true military, and Rathia's rebel groups were a thorn in the Militia's side. After finally driving the CIS out by attacking supply convoys, the Republic moved in, but most of the population disliked the Republic for giving them the cold shoulder. The Republic is currently now entangled into this dangerous political conflict, not knowing who to truly fight. They've constantly heard of this 'militia', but didn't take them seriously as a threat, despite the takeover of the entire system.

A Republic fleet was in orbit of Rathia, after suffering a major blow from a surprise fighter and bomber attack by the Tropikan Empire (who they didn't know at the time) at the shipyards of Kuat. While the fleet wasn't as large or powerful as the main battle groups engaged with the Confederacy, it still made quick work of the relatively small Rathian ships in orbit. The Acclamators turned their guns downward to the planet, waiting for any ships making a break for it. More and more Republic ships exited hyperspace and another blockade of the planet began, much to the dismay of the population. The Rathian mainland of Zormanis was blocked by a planetary shield strong enough to prevent bombardment by the Republic ships. The Republic would have to send smaller craft, gunships and transports, down to the surface. The first groups made their way to the island of Parolis as scouting parties. The first being the 84th Recon, landing out in the country side next to a series of farms, where suspicious activity was reported.

Map: Chapter 1 - 1

The 84th moved in under Commander Gear. An eerie feeling fell upon the troops as they crept closer to the farms when suddenly a group of well armed farmers attacked them. They were quickly dispatched, with the 84th suffering minor casualties from the ambush. They pushed further inward, encountering several more groups. It was determined that these weren't ordinary farmers or militia, but a well trained army. The plot thickened as the fighting grew more intense. After the skirmish, the 84th set up a Forward Command Post and awaited further orders. Gear didn't like where this was headed. He suspected a grander scheme.

They eventually advanced to the next farming area. The fighting got heavier and heavier as they kept proceeding up the length of the island toward the capital. It was clear that the training was more advanced than the Republic initially found. So much for Republic Intel. More and more of the 84th fell in battle as the ambushes increased. The enemy continued to flank and outmaneuver the clones, but eventually they pushed back the Parolan Defense Forces and settled down in their second command post. Another legion would have to assault the capital while the 84th recovered from heavy losses. It would be up to Commander Hardium and the 31st Cavalry to attack the main capital of Giriz.

Map: Chapter 1 - 3

The 31st under the command of Commander Hardium flew in on a new Republic invention: gliders. It was simple technology compared to LAATs, but this was its first combat test. It was armed with a 20mm light laser cannon on the dorsal side of the craft. Intel was slightly off as the gliders landed just short of the city and came under heavy fire. The 31st took a few casualties, but managed to break through the first line of defenses. The fighting was extremely heavy, with the 31st fighting street to street, building to building, man to man. The police forces stood no chance, as they were poorly trained. The intense fighting lasted for hours with blaster fire and explosions everywhere and the civilians hunkered down in their apartments waiting for the battle to end. Finally the 31st came upon the last area. The courtyard was swarming with enemy infantry, including a new type of infantry from the Zormanis mainland - the Rathian Elite Guards. They were stronger and better trained than the militia and police forces encountered near the beginning of the war. The 31st lost several men assaulting the capital building with Hardium receiving a shot to the shoulder. He kept going despite the wound, firing his heavy blaster cannon and cutting down several militia. Finally the capital building was theirs. This disheartened the Parolan Defense Forces and got the militia to think twice. The Republic set up their forward headquarters in the heavily damaged capital building, which they'll use for several months as they push the militia back.

Map: Chapter 1 - 4

Commander Hardium sent a detachment out from the city upon receiving reports that militia are mounting for a counter-attack to retake the capital. The 31st went down the main road with a convoy of Saber tanks but the vehicles were suddenly wiped out by an 88mm cannon. The 31st would have to take them on by foot. With their tanks burning in the ditches and the middle of the road, they moved on, taking casualties as they advanced toward the gun position. They took out the cannon, but encountered militia and MG's from across the bridge next to them. The laser MG cut them down as they advanced over the narrow bridge, bottlenecked to the Militia's advantage. Finally after heavy losses, they pushed on yet again. Then, an explosion. Enemy tanks shelled the clones' position as they made way. Slowly the tanks were wiped out by well placed rockets as the clones continued to push the enemy back. They discovered a large building, walled off. They sent scouts to investigate. They were counterfeiting Republic credits. Stacks and stacks of credits in the form of paper lined the room. They took pictures and moved on to the building adjacent. What they found was unsettling. The Rathians had housed cloning tanks of their own in this facility. Whatever this diabolical plan was, it had to be stopped, so the Republic torched the buildings. Encountering more tanks and infantry outside of the facility, they finally destroyed the remaining enemy forces and setup a small forward outpost and began processing what they had found.

Map: Chapter 1 - 5

The 1st Rangers, led by Commander Hayden, got wind of a large vehicle plant near the northern coast of Parolis. Surely the Parolans have exhausted their resources and the Rathian Militia would have to pull out of the frontlines, but this would not be the case. As they neared the plant, the defense towers opened up, cutting down a few of the Rangers. It took a few minutes, but the towers were wiped out and the Rangers infiltrated the facility. The fighting was immediately intense and brutal as clones and militia fell as smoldering corpses to the ground. The close quarters fighting grew louder and heavier as the clones made their way through the massive production buildings. They found schematics of a new tank, classed as a medium tank called simply the MT-5 by Rathian Military Systems. These must have been the destructive tanks the 31st encountered at the Rathian cloning facilities 30 miles back a few days ago. The clones destroyed tanks and turrets as they made their way to the main administration offices. Finally they found the foreman. Foreman Erix Cragan was a fanatic who would rather take his own life than be captured. This last fight would see the foreman dying in a hail of blaster fire and the Rangers discovering a much deeper plot. These tanks were being deployed to the Zormanis mainland in mass. The Rathians were clearly preparing for a massive invasion by the Republic. They knew the clones were coming.
