Designated Days: Alamo Logovtz

ALAMO

We all here have seen Saving Private Ryan, I'm sure? If not, go watch it! Ahem, anyways: in the movie, there's the Battle of Ramelle, fought by the 2nd Rangers and the 101st Airborne against the 2nd SS Panzer Division. In our story, this map takes place sometime after the main invasion in Chapter 2. I'm calling it Designated Days: Alamo, because Alamo was the code word for the retreat toward the last defensible position. I might rename it to "Aurek" to fit Star Wars lore, but haven't decided.

Anyways, the map is going to go off of this layout: Designated Days: Alamo Ramelle-neuville

Just imagine all of this with props and such. Along with this map, I resumed progress on Lok: Factory Compound as well, but I am unsure how long this will all take.

I'll need some help from Ice. Mainly for the Rathian armor: Tiger I style repulsor tank (no camo, because I'll be adding that and I'm sure he'll need a base texture for his maps), a Marder-III Ausf. M style repulsor tank destroyer (with open canopy), and if he still has it: a functioning half-track based off of the Sd. Kfz. 250. In the film, there was also a Swedish Stormartillerivagn m/43 (Sav m/43), but I only need a Marder III, a Kfz. 250 half-track, and a Tiger for the armored portions.

-----

In this sub-chapter, the 514th Pathfinders Regiment linked up with the 343rd ARC Battalion on the outskirts of town, after both parties encountered a Rathian half-track. They then proceeded into the bombed out Zormanian village of Ravelle and regrouped near the bridge. The commander of the 514th, Phalanx, told Commander Sparrow of the 343rd that one of his men, who happened to be a Mandalorian helping the Republic cause, lost all of his brothers on other fronts of the conflict, and said he was there to get him out. The man refused to leave until his objectives were complete, so now the 514th and the 343rd teamed up to defend a vital bridge from the Rathian Guard 2nd Armored Division. They setup defenses all throughout the village and waited for the enemy. The Battle of Ravelle was about to begin.

Before the 514th met up with the 343rd, the small group of 343rd troopers managed to capture an enemy light attack speeder. The Rathian speeder was originally acquired from an off-world dealer, because the Rathian Guard was busy constructing tanks. This variant of speeder is based off of the Seraph-class urban landspeeder. It's more of a small escort and scouting vehicle than it is a direct combat speeder. The Rathian government purchased these for their efficient costs on the cartel market as well as overall combat performance during small skirmishes involving infantry. And it also moves very fast, so it can sneak in, attack, and quickly retreat if need be. The 343rd often uses the captured speeder as bait to lure in enemy vehicles on patrol.

Progress of the map going well, at least layout wise. It won't be perfect, but hopefully I'll get a lot more props in the future. Such as more building types and such. But for now, I'm working well with what I've got. Dance
