and i want to know how to replace a map customized skins with other skin from another map customized.I'm sorry if the topic has already been done by somone if this is the case you would be kind enough to tell me or it is.

The 2 maps are not mine I download them and they are decompressed on winrar:
on the folders of the 2 maps they are data LVL PC NKA ( name of the map) SIDE
I think I must copy the SIDE folder ( the skins that I like) in to the other map ( I delete the other SIDE folder) and I replace from other. but I'm not sure and I did not want to destroy the maps

To change the skins of a custom side for a custom map, you would need to build the side from start.
Rename it to the maps sides it requesting.

just started here and had the same question.

Love the Umbara map but im not a fan of the skins used. Never made a map myself before but love phase II rex so much that I want to fix the model.

I was thinking of using the BF1 or BFX 501st skins and putting them into the Umbara map.

Any ideas?

Maybe you can find your skins on gametoast forum: gametoast.com
If you have already your skins,in the map you must have a SIDE folder in which is a rep and a repshell folder (rep means republique) Replace that folders by the folders rep and repshell you want.

Ran into a problem though, the skins I want are the 501st skin from the dev's side mod pack and he split it into different legions for the republic so there is no rep.lvl.

Is there a way to write a command so that it just selects 501.lvl?

Also, what is the best way to edit an existing skin?

Currently I have never played this mod but I think the author of the mod renamed files "rep and repshell" by 501.lvl You have just to apply the same method

What program do I need to read and edit .lvl?

If you download the SWBF2 mod tools, you will have every asset in the game ready for modding.

Anyways, I managed to transfer the rep.lvl file from the mod I like into the Battle of Umbara map. Now the Republic has nicely textured 501st troopers.

Heres my problem...

The rep.lvl I transported has an amazing PhaseII Rex model but can only be unlocked after "x" amount of points. When I run the Battle of Umbara map, the option to select him is not even there.

How can I edit the class selection for said map?

All stock maps must have the name of the rex class for it to show up on stock maps.

Example (rep_inf_ep3rifleman)

This name is on all stock maps, there for the class will show up.

You would need to find the rex class name then either mod it in using the mod tools or hex it in.
