if i put a different model into this line:
DisguiseOwnerModel = ""

will it change me to that model?

No, I think you only can disguise yourself as the enemy's first unit of the selection screen.

mmmk, but i could think of a way around that if it were a campaing or only playable as one team. you just make whatever unit you want the first unit of the CIS team, then you say spawn count is 0 so none show up, and bam, noone would ever know

I have this effect working fine on my Bothan Saboteur unit, however, on multiplayer it crashes if the player is killed while disguised as a Stormtrooper.

Does anyone know the cause of this or how to fix it?

As of right now, the best modders out there never were able to fix it. Which is why for MP, you can just remove it from the unit and give it invisibility instead. This is done with a lua script. I'd write it but I'm not good with that anymore really.
