I was thinking that, whenever I start on DD: The Old Republic, there will be a few maps where the Republic and/or the Sith Empire will be up against Mandalorians. At some point, anyways. The big story arc for that series will take place on Bothawui, though, with the Republic vs Empire.

Here's some early shots of the main invasion of Zormanis on planet Rathia. It's a big beach map. So at this time im trying out many different things. So the beach keeps changing. Playing around with classes to see which fit. Here you can see a specialist. The bunker MG's are doing there thing. New beach props.

The final version will look much prettier lol.

This model is just a proof of concept and is primarily a shape-reference of an idea I had on paper for a later chapter. Probably somewhere in chapter 3 or 4.

My 514th Pathfinders Regiment eventually will be tasked with taking out a large hover railgun in use by the militia (Rathian Systems Alliance) later in the campaign on Rathia. They use this gun to target the beachhead established by Republic forces and also fire at both the Republic sea and space fleets. It not only doubles as a ground-to-ground plasma artillery gun, but also a massive planetary defense gun capable of taking out capital ships with a few well placed shots.

It was kind of a quick model in Sketchup, but it helps with establishing some visual ideas for later down the road. I'll have some screenshots of a map in progress for chapter 2 soon, so don't worry. afro

Some progress on Point High Hym, which the 514th will be attacking. Basic layout so far, but the sea-wall defenses are pretty much satisfactory at the moment. I know it doesn't look like much at the moment, but I wanted to give people a sense of scale. Since it's really difficult for 'scaling cliff walls', there's more of a pathway. Either way, Republic troopers will be going through a deadly gauntlet of hedgehog/tank traps and a wall of almost endless automatic turret fire. I'll be adding some sandbags on the walls too. I was thinking of using Ice's mortar for Militia use. A lot of AI turrets will be present. Hopefully I can limit the Militia/RSA to spawning behind the defenses and bottleneck the clone forces as they go through the pass. Anyways, some shots:

Wonderful Commander! I like the look of it.

To get that SPR atmosphere, you need to color the ground textures to a gloomy cyan color.
But I can experiment till I get results and send em off to you.

I assume the updated canyons worked? Also you may need to recolor them to more of a greyish.

Updated canyons worked like a charm. Yeah, that'd be great if you can experiment with textures and send them! Also yeah, I'll recolor to a bit more of a darker grey.

Also, for Commander Phalanx, I'll need the regular phase-II Commander model instead of the posed one, unless the posing of the .msh doesn't matter?
