Thought I would start a desert map to get some practice while I wait for the other team members and there progress.

This map is Rathia's moon ARTHAME.

Heres the 8th Engineers Division on ARTHAME in a dersert area. Also worked on an Engineer transport. Did some research and came up with this version. Thought it is not done. Still adding things as I go.

Heres few DC weapons. The engineers will be using these type of light weapon along with with shotguns.

Wow. Nice work! Also, nice APC there. Based off of the M113?

Looks great Ice, although I don't think the engineers should use shotguns, they are too powerful and specialized in my opinion for use by the engineers. I really like that grease gun, based off of the American grease gun used in WW2 correct?

Yes Bob, I do agree with you on engineers not using shot guns. Since engineer are mainly used for explosive and mech type of duties an dont require such tactical weapons as the shotgun. They fight with light weapons.

Weapons
------------------------------
DC 10 Grease Gun
DC 14 Republic Carbine
DC 14 Republic Military Carbine
DC 15s Carbine
DC Advanced Recon Commando Pistol

And as for Revan and Bob questions, Yes I base them off modernized armor (m113) and actual weapons from ww2 and todays weapons.

The Grease gun is a close quaters machine gun. And thats how is will be ingame.

I revamped my 1st tank to an All Terrain Universal Tank. (ATUT). As militia and other factions will be using them as they are fast and easy to build. Cost effective. But can be easily destroy by medium armor.

Fantastic work, commander! Great job!

So the ATUT is based on the M4 Sherman, right? Looks that way.

And why does the DC-14 RMC remind me of the M-16 AR?

The normal DC-14 variant is based off the M1 Carbine, though, right?

Tes coomander, the ATUT was based of the sherman.

I based it off the M4 Carbine was was indeed based off the M16. Only a shorter version with more accessories.

And yes the M1 carbine is based off the ww2 version.

Heres another based off the russian PPsh

Nice. I definitely see the PPSH resemblance. Also sort of reminds me of the Combine Emplacement gun from Half-Life 2.

Nice picture commander.

Had fun running around with the DC-15-GR (Grenade Rifle). A standard DC-15a with an accessory.

Heres an improved mando from the one me and deviss did. I revamped the enveloping and fixed hix antenna along with few bad polys. Also revamped the mando rifle and mando pistol.

His bright neon armor says hes been freshly cloned in a week with stolen modified cloning technology. Yes these guys will be in DD in a chapter imvolving the Death Watch Bunker.

Infact he can be DL'ed in this topic here: http://swbf-custom.forumactif.com/t40p60-icemember-s-assets#1574

I have a few questions. First: Am I making my own legion for the map or is someone else making one? Second: Has the second town been bombed at all? Third: Is there certain textures im supposed to use for the ground? Sorry if these were answered somewere else thanks.

The area in which the maps are starting out will be having a sort of tealish grass color on the terrain, and the ambient color that I happen to be going with is a bit of a tealish color as well, but also, a bit blue.

As far as the buildings, I'm not sure if he wanted a few bombed or not for the town.

When it comes down to legions, look back at the tactical map for the island. We will be using the legion that is displayed there. The yellow color patterned clones that Icemember is using. I think for the most part otherwise, it is all free reign as long as the feeling for the most part, in the end, is the same. And we could always transfer assets back and forth to adjust things to achieve the final feeling/style of the maps.

In the end, it will be what Icemember has envisioned for the island. I also showed him a few pictures of valleys in Vietnam, so you may want to look to those for references. Maybe even the cities. In-fact, that seems to be pretty much what he's aiming for. Basically, look at any Pacific island/Asian country, and go from there. Asian-style landscape (maybe mix a little bit of Holland and Germany in there somewhere), Star Wars-style props. It's a simple equation in terms of map layouts.

@ Ice, if this is too much information, just say so. I just wanted to be clear in the aim for the initial chapters (at least where I think they are going).

Is it possible for me to create a snowy mountain map for this? I know that there no mountains on the map, but I've been wanting to do this for a while, and I thought it could go quite nicely with Designated Days. Perhaps a bonus map? The main focus of the map was to create a campaign layout, which I have done, but on a piece of paper. I'll be working on this map later next week; tell me if you maybe want it included.

Well, we did have a rule about getting ahead of our selfs. We should work on what we have.

But go for it. Lets see what it looks like. We do have plans to head into Winter era's too. Thought the teams focusing on what they have. And also there own personal projects they are finishing up.

I'm working on and off on it. I worked on the main facility a bit today. I'm actually kind of improvising object placement, but hopefully in the end, everything will look nice!
