You simply just place the downloaded side in your games directory (SIDE folder).

Remember to make back-ups of your original REP.lvl files.

I installed the side mod on local disque star wars battlefront 2 Game data Data LVL PC Side ( I renamed the old files:"rep_old and repshell_old" )
When I play, the skins appearing are your 501 legion custom.
