Summary:"Star Wars Battlefront United" will feel like it's part of the game, as if Pandemic actually released it. The goal is to convert all Star Wars Battlefront I maps for Star Wars Battlefront II. BFU will be using stock sides, updating the maps graphically, adding the BF1 campaign, and integrating the converted maps into galactic conquest.

Other changes include, proper descriptions for the converted maps, white map names in the instant action menu, BF2 style mini-maps rather than BF1, and new high quality loadscreens for both BF2 and BF1 maps. Everything included will be packed into one addon folder to reduce clutter.

Following the completion of the mod, all final assets will be released to the community for everyone to use, just as Pandemic did for us so many years ago. This enables the community to easily create their own side mods, custom missions, game modes, and modified "Star Wars Battlefront I" stock maps using perfected map conversions without the hassle of converting the maps themselves!

I'm currently working on two mod projects (my own) besides BFU: Clone Wars Expansion and Civil War Era which both use custom sides.

You're right Nedarb, there is in fact another separate team that is still using the name "Star Wars Battlefront United" but is working on a perfected conversion pack for Star Wars Battlefront I, BF2 maps converted to BF1.

Hey, I don't know if you guys are making any sort of custom sides. If you are, I think it would be really cool to see the clone Cold Assault Trooper model ingame, on Rhen Var.

The battle of Rhen Var was early in the Clone War, so this model makes sense. It's really just a minor suggestion. The mod is really starting to take form and I like where it's going.

Yeah, we aren't doing sides (besides the campaign sides). Thanks for the suggestion though.
Since the last update on this page we've completed the Harbor demo as well as started Citadel
(both Rhen Var maps), hopefully we'll be able to make a more solid update sooner (with pics and
more detailed info).

Okay, I said I'd make a solid update, here it is (sorta small):

As you can see Rhen Var Citadel (RNV) has been worked on, at the moment there are four main goals left for RNV (and maybe some small ones):
-BG noise (may take while)
-Add missing effects
-1-flag both eras
-BF2 style mini-map

Today the GCW script has been completed as well as high-rez shadows (not seen in pics).
I think Glitch also said that he's been working on Kamino Tipoca City, as far as I know
it isn't playable (again correct me if I'm wrong Glitch).

Its been a while since the last update, I think its time I make a new one....

For the first time ever I present the BF1 sides (including the animations)!

Browning did occur to the Rhen Var pictures, I think its a problem with the jpeg file though. Next time I'll try to use png. So anyways, there it is! Geonosis is nearly complete, I believe all that is left is completing the ctf layout and fixing the vehicle spawns in XL.
