I finally got around to adding laser cannons to the Droid Trifighter.

One primary cannon (Replaced the chaingun) and three secondary cannons (Replaced the missiles) as seen in the film.

I'm considering...
Primary Cannon: Low Rate of Fire, Quick Overheat, Higher Velocity, and High Damage Seconday Cannon: High Rate of fire, Slow Overheat, Slower Velocity, and Low Damage
The reason I'm posting this is because I'd like to find the proper way to balance these. (Balanced numbers for the code) I tried them during combat and they completely obliterated the opposing force in seconds during one on one combat.

The new Trifighter weapons will be in the next version of "Ultimate CIS". I'd show you a gameplay video but I'm terrible at space combat. The auto turrets really annoy me and the AI always repair or maneuver their vehicles.
Edit: Maybe I can get someone else to do the gameplay video. Oh, and if you noticed at the end of the clip, the buzz droids deployed when the rockets were in front of the starfighter. I wonder if I could get buzz droids to work for this. That would be awesome....

You could feasibly get buzz droid missiles working, what would you want your buzz droids to do?

Well, Im just guesing, but, Id guess he wants them to damage the other ships a little each second for quite a few seconds.

Yep, that would be great. Maybe attatch them to hardpoints like you would with fire or smoke. After the time is up they disappear. The hardest part would be to make the models. I have no idea how to do that.
Edit: Maybe the continue to damage your ship until you spin or flip to shake them off. That would be fun
