That's strange. As a last resort, I'd say try and reformat, but if it absolutely fails to launch, then there's a much more severe problem at play and reformatting won't work. So, it actually does turn on, but it fails to get past the HP event blue screen? Can you even get into safe mode?

It fails to get past the HP event blue screen. And sometimes f10 and echap works, but after there's a black screen and after the HP event screen is back.

Yikes. I certainly hope that is not a hardware issue. Also F10? I guess I'm use to mashing F8, but yeah. I don't know what's going on there. Do you remember what happened right before the issue occurred?

Yikes! The Blue screen of lies LOL!

Most blues screens mean you need a system reboot.

Also try and uninstall video card and reinstall the card.

Ah ok. Well, indeed its very simple. If its not part of the motherboard that is.

You would have Pc off. Unplug all cords from mother board. Best to take picture with digital if you have one so you know where cords plug in. Then simply un-screw any screws that are holding it to the PC case. Then pull it out gently. Then place it back in. The plug all cords back in. Screw it back on if any screws involed. Thats it.

But if ya unsure, best not to try it.

Also Try GOOGLE the blue screen. See if any salutions come up.

Hmm, your best to reboot the system. Thats the only thing I can think of for blue screens. This 75% of the time is usally the answer. Then if after this it still comes blue, its got to be a hardware problem.

I totaly forgot about this topic. So the problem was: the internal hard-drive was grilled.
We sent the computer to a specialised lab, and we had to pay (and that's expensive) to recover the entire hard-drive, and they gave us an external reader for hard-drives. So we recovered all the files/folders. And now the family computer is awaiting a new hard-drive.
