I have started Modelling and with Google sketch up and it is quite fun. I've made a model (of a demented , deformed, hideous cat) and I would like to animate it. The actual scene will be really simple but there is one problem. I cannot do this because I don't know how to start creating the animation and such. I can't be very specific because I'm still new to google sketchup. Sorry. If anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it.

Sketchup isn't properly a 3d software and don't do animations, google sketchup is for Sketching, it is why it is called Sketchup, it is used in architecture, interiors decoration etc ...
If you want to make animations, you'll have to choose an another software like Blender, which is free, Softimage XSI mod tool is free too, after there's the advanced 3d softwares like 3ds max, Maya, or Softimage XSI (not the mod tool), they aren't free and are really expensive.
